What size bed will your dog love??

We get this question a lot so it seemed right to create a living post about it...

We carry three sizes perpetually, 30x30 (Small), 40x30 (Medium) and 40x40 (Large) and occasionally 24x24 (X-Small) when fabric width gives us the right cuts (we used to carry this smaller size regularly, but it just doesn’t sell enough to warrant intentional production).

We like to give the following guidelines:

Small: 30x30 inches = dogs up to 40 pounds

Medium: 40x30 inches = dogs up to 60 pounds

Large: 40x40 inches = dogs up to 90 pounds

Sleeping style is also important. Do they curl up croissant style to stretch out like the blob? Many pups do both, so I always suggest to size up when you’re unsure, as a larger size will create cushion around them making for a cozier result.

And for the giant breeds...you can go with two 40x40s. We’re still working on an insert that works for them and won’t collapse under the pressure of these massive beautiful creatures.

A lot of our customers build a pile of beds and if you’re dogs are anything like mine...they like building forts and such with multiple beds. We also like this set up because it adds to the natural look of our pillow style beds being a part of your home and not a distraction. Add in a coordinating blanket and you’ve got a palace in the making for your pup!
